On 28 May 2026, the University of Alicante hosted a dissemination event as part of the CARE-ABILITY Erasmus+ project, bringing together professionals and stakeholders from the socio-health and vocational education sectors to share and discuss best practices in the training and labour integration of migrant women.

The event brought together VET educators, trainers, representatives from public health and training institutions, social sector professionals, researchers and academic professors, and other stakeholders interested in the socio-health care sector (21 participants). The event, held at the Sala Ernest Lluch in the Faculty of Economics and Business, ran from 12:30 to 13:30 and featured presentations from three key members of the CARE-ABILITY team. Rocío Juliá Sanchís, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and project coordinator, opened the session and welcomed attendees. Megan Rosales Gómez, Project Manager, presented an overview of the CARE-ABILITY project and its expected impact. Vanesa Pérez Martínez, Doctor in Health Sciences and University of Alicante lecturer, led a detailed presentation of the Best Practices Handbook — a central output of the project developed to support inclusive VET pathways for migrant women entering the care sector.

The session concluded with an open dialogue space, inviting participants to explore potential forms of collaboration, dissemination, and engagement with the project. The event served as an important opportunity to raise awareness of the project’s tools and outputs among local and regional stakeholders, and to strengthen connections with organisations that share CARE-ABILITY’s commitment to social inclusion and professional empowerment of migrant women.
