This summer, CARE-ABILITY partners are working together to shape the project’s new didactic units for vocational training in the socio-healthcare sector. 

The training programme will include 12 modules and 50 hours of learning, combining guided training with independent activities. Topics range from communication, personal care, safe mobility, and infection prevention to digital skills, privacy, professional ethics, sustainability, and employability.  

What makes these units different is their practical and inclusive design. 

Each module is being developed through two connected learning pathways: 

The Learner Track is designed mainly for migrant women and other adults entering the socio-healthcare sector. Content uses clear, respectful language and is divided into manageable learning units. Learners will explore realistic care scenarios, complete interactive exercises and quizzes, and apply their knowledge through practical tasks. 

Educator Track supports VET trainers and professionals delivering the programme. It includes lesson plans, facilitator guidance, adaptation tips, assessment rubrics, and background reading to help educators respond to different learner profiles and support meaningful progress. 

The modules are not intended to provide theory alone. Learners will practise communication, identify risks, make decisions, complete checklists, prepare personal plans, and respond to situations inspired by real care environments. Educators will receive the tools needed to adapt these activities for learners with different language levels, previous experiences, and levels of digital confidence. 

During the summer period, the partnership is refining the content, reviewing the modules, and preparing the educational material for its next stage of digital production and platform integration. 

Through these didactic units, CARE-ABILITY is turning knowledge into practical, accessible, and employment-focused learning.
