Introduction 

The CARE-ABILITY project is implementing a series of national workshops across partner countries between April and June 2026 as part of its dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities. These workshops aim to present project results, promote dialogue on inclusive care practices, and support the practical use of the Best Practices Handbook developed within the project. 

The activities bring together stakeholders from vocational education and training (VET), care services, employment institutions, and social inclusion sectors, ensuring strong engagement at national and European level. 

Slovenia: First National Workshop Implementation 

The first national workshop was held on 22 April 2026 in Slovenia at the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care. The interactive knowledge-sharing meeting was titled: 

“CARE-ABILITY: Developing Inclusive and Accessible Learning Pathways in Vocational Education for Migrant Women” 

In collaboration with partners from Srednja šola Jesenice, the workshop was organised for policymakers, VET experts, employment and labour market integration specialists, representatives of educational institutions, non-governmental organisations, and other stakeholders active in education, social inclusion, and the care sector in the Gorenjska region of Slovenia. 

This event marked the first national-level implementation of CARE-ABILITY dissemination activities and established a foundation for further engagement across partner countries. 

Objectives of the National Workshops 

The CARE-ABILITY national workshops are a core dissemination activity within the Erasmus+ project framework. They ensure that project results are effectively communicated, discussed, and adapted to national contexts. 

The main objectives include: 

• presenting the CARE-ABILITY project and its objectives 
• disseminating the Best Practices Handbook 
• engaging stakeholders in inclusive care discussions 
• collecting feedback from professionals and institutions 
• supporting transferability of results into practice 
• strengthening cooperation between education, care, and employment sectors 

Best Practices Handbook as a Key Output 

A central focus of the workshops is the CARE-ABILITY Best Practices Handbook, which compiles effective approaches identified during the project. 

Participants are invited to: 

• explore selected inclusive care practices 
• assess their applicability in national contexts 
• contribute feedback for further refinement 
• support the practical usability of the handbook

This ensures that the handbook functions as a practical tool for professionals rather than only a theoretical output. 

Implementation Across Partner Countries 

Following the Slovenian workshop, additional national workshops are being implemented by CARE-ABILITY partner organisations across Europe, ensuring broad dissemination and stakeholder participation. 

Each workshop follows a shared methodological framework while being adapted to national contexts and target groups. 

In Austria, the national workshop will take place on 17 and 18 June 2026 and will be organised by ÖJAB, contributing further to dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities within the project.
